“Last year, Stephanie Galvani of Natick ran the Boston Marathon and raised more than $6,000 to support the Newton 9/11 Memorial Fund. This year her cousin, Brad Hauert, of Denver, Colo., also ran the Marathon and has so far raised $5,000 for the Memorial Fund.”

Newton 9-11 Memorial Committee at the 2015 Boston Marathon!
A big thank you to Brad Hauert, who is running the 2015 Boston Marathon to raise funds for the Newton 9-11 Memorial Committee! Brad, who attended graduate school at Boston College and works in aviation in Arizona, was inspired to run by the memory of Amy Toyen. Amy is one of the Newton residents listed on the Memorial. Please visit Brad’s race website, which can be found here. Funds raised will go toward the maintenance of the Memorial.
